Back in June of this year we were approached with an awesome opportunity to create a motion graphic animation explainer video for a new dental program and website here in Mississippi. Our client, Virality, asked us to create from scratch characters, backgrounds, and 2D sets and have them animated to a voice over narration. We were thrilled at the opportunity and began sketching away. Over the past two months, we’ve experimented and created what we think is not only a great video that will help potential customers be informed on what Direct Care can offer, but also an amazing springboard to help our reel and client work to potentially attract new avenues.
A lot of work went into this project and we’ve discovered new techniques and methods in animation and design that has aided us in achieving our success. All of the work was accomplished in After Effects CC 2015. In the future we hope to add other great programs like Adobe Illustrator and Cinema 4D Lite to include in our workflow for motion graphic work. We also took advantage of utilizing the script from Greg Gunn on Aescripts.com called Puppet Tools 3 that helped us animate the arms of the characters.
