It’s a comin’! Production Log 14 is here and I’m enjoying every step of the process in making this film, no matter how long it takes. The past two months have been hectic as we packed up our things from Nashville and moved to Mississippi. Now that we’re finally beginning to slow down in the moving process, I wanted to share with you what I’ve been brewing in the production phase during that time. I’ve had the awesome opportunity to continue on learning more and more techniques in creating visual effects through tutorial sites such as VideoCopilot.net and Lynda.com.
With these new techniques, I’ve created far better compositions with my effect shots and figured out how to remove images within the shot that weren’t supposed to be there. All of this is helping me to create the best visual concept to my abilities for this film. For example, below are two shots, one original and one after. You’ll see the light is in the shot. With motion tracking and other nifty techniques, I was able to take the light completely out.
The light is completely matted out so at real time, it’s as though the light wasn’t even there. Fun stuff. As long as I continue to push myself in learning as much as I can and to apply my skills to the film, I will be confident with the finish product. That’s all I have, so below are some more new images. Enjoy!
Art produces ugly things which frequently become more beautiful with time. Fashion, on the other hand, produces beautiful things that always become ugly with time.
